Position Overview
LCPMD is seeking a Physician Life Care Planner to develop comprehensive, medically grounded Life Care Plans and related expert reports supporting personal injury litigation. This role involves expert-level oversight of medical records, as well as forensic costing, and authorship of Life Care Plans that are evidence-based, legally defensible, and clearly articulated for legal and medical audiences.
The Physician Life Care Planner serves as a testifying expert, providing deposition and trial testimony based on comprehensive Life Care Plans and medically supported analyses. Candidates must demonstrate strong clinical acumen, attention to detail, and the ability to synthesize complex medical information into structured and supported recommendations.

Qualifications:
MD or DO with active U.S. state licensure
Life Care Planning certification (CPLCP, CLCP, or equivalent) preferred or in progress
Strong clinical background (e.g., PM&R, Orthopedics, Neurology, Trauma, etc.)
Excellent analytical, writing, and communication skills
Experience preparing expert witness reports or performing medical record reviews
Knowledge of cost estimation tools and fee schedules (e.g., FairHealth)
Familiarity with Google Workspace; experience with Casefleet or Monday.com is a plus
Responsibilities:
Validate reviewed medical records and related documentation to synthesize diagnostic findings, treatment history, and prognostic data
Conduct expert evaluations of injured individuals to assess future medical needs, therapeutic interventions, and long-term care requirements in accordance with evidence-based standards
Construct detailed Life Care Plans that integrate medical findings, prognosis, and literature-based justification for all future care recommendations
Collaborate to complete cost research for future care, services, and durable medical equipment
Ensure consistent methodology and accuracy across plan narratives and cost projections
Collaborate with vocational and economic experts as needed to ensure alignment across deliverables
Participate in attorney case conferences when requested
Provide deposition and/or trial testimony as a designated testifying expert

Maintain timely communication and meet all deadlines
Ensure ongoing licensure and relevant continuing education
Adhere to industry standards and LCPMD internal quality protocols
Represent LCPMD professionally in all legal and client-facing interactions
Provide deposition and trial testimony, including occasional in-person appearances when required
